The European Union announced on Wednesday that it has initiated a dispute against China at the World Trade Organization (WTO) over trade restrictions against Lithuania and the obstruction of legal action by European companies over their patents.

In both cases, the Chinese measures are very harmful for European companies
” and, in the case of Lithuania, “
they have an impact on the functioning of the European internal market
”, indicated the European Commission.
Brussels had already seized the WTO at the beginning of the year on these two cases.
