Gold traded within a narrow range today, as investors await the US central bank meeting next week to assess the bank's monetary policy stance.
Reuters reported that the price of gold witnessed a slight change in spot transactions, to $ 1772 an ounce.
US gold futures rose 0.1 percent to $1,783.90.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.7 percent to $ 22.3, and platinum fell 0.3 percent to $ 986.15, while palladium rose 1.2 percent to $ 1871 an ounce.
