Gold prices in the local market rose by 8 thousand Syrian pounds from the price announced last Saturday, when the price of a gram of 21 carats was 292 thousand pounds, due to the high price of an ounce globally, which reached 1799 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21-carat gold recorded a selling price of 299 thousand Syrian pounds, and a purchase price of 298,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram reached a selling price of 256,286 pounds, and a purchase of 255,786 pounds.
The association stressed the need for craftsmen to abide by the pricing issued by it under penalty of legal accountability and the closure of the shop, calling on all citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the association’s bulletin, and distributed phone numbers for complaints (0112238005-0112230766), and that any complaint from any citizen bears the craftsman accountability legal about it.
