A market survey conducted by Atlas, the largest platform in Israel in the field of philanthropic intelligence for non-profit organizations, shows that there are approximately 37,000 registered non-profit organizations in Israel, of which approximately 10,000 are very active.
In 2022, the associations in Israel raised about 23 billion shekels, 13 billion from donations in Israel and 10 billion from donations abroad.

, notes that the donations to the associations in Israel amounted to about 3 billion shekels from Israeli foundations and NIS 10 billion in donations from individuals and businesses.
25% of the donations made to non-profit organizations in Israel are in the fields of education, 25% for religious institutions, 20% for welfare organizations and 30% to non-profit organizations in various fields such as health, sports, culture, environmental quality, lone soldiers and more.
The donations from abroad in 2022 were in the fields of education and research and religious organizations (20 percent for each field), 40% to welfare organizations and 20% to other fields.
Turgeman says that in 2022 there was a decrease of about 5% compared to 2021 in recruitments.
The problem is 2023, where the forecast is not amazing.
It is expected that the coming year will be difficult to raise funds for donations to non-profit organizations, even more so than during the Corona period, due to the difficult situation in the business sector in the last year, the waves of layoffs in high-tech and technology companies and the declines in the stock market.
About 10 million non-profit organizations operate in the world, of which about two million are in the US. The total assets managed in the world of philanthropy is 1.6 trillion dollars.
