According to our calculations, more than 800 trains have already been canceled by the railway company as part of the SNCF strike which begins this

Hundreds of thousands of travelers will not be able to take their train for Christmas, or at least the one they had originally planned.

The SNCF was forced, according to the data we collected, to cancel more than 800 trains between December 23 and December 26, due to a strike by controllers.

A situation that is all the more complicated for travelers as most of the trains that have not been canceled are sold out during this holiday season.

Based on official data from the SNCF, this list corresponds to the trains which were announced on Monday and which are no longer this Friday morning, for the period running from December 23 to December 26, that is to say that of the strike notice filed by the unions.

This Friday morning, there were 812, including more than 550 for the days of Saturday and Sunday alone.

Contacted, the SNCF did not wish to confirm these figures, contenting itself with corroborating the trends that it had communicated.

The form below allows you to view this list interactively.

To do this, type a train number or a destination: if the train is displayed (make sure that the number and times correspond to the one you are looking for), then the train is cancelled;

if not, it is still expected.

Some canceled trains may also not appear if the database has not been properly updated by SNCF.

This list may change, as SNCF has not yet communicated traffic forecasts for Monday, December 26 (only 27 trains were canceled for that day, according to data from this Friday morning).

Above all, you should go to the SNCF website to obtain definitive confirmation of the status of your train.

Passengers whose train is canceled are a priori informed in advance by the company.

They are offered an exchange free of charge, provided that there are places left on another train, or a refund of the ticket on the means of payment used.

In both cases, the SNCF also offers compensation in the form of a purchase voucher up to 200% of the price of the canceled ticket.

The Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, estimated Thursday morning the strike at "one hundred million euros" for the SNCF.

After Christmas, it was the New Year that threatened to be “ruined”.

The unions, led by an informal collective of controllers, planned to strike again between December 30 and January 2.

"What we expect from the management of the SNCF today is that it finds a solution in the coming hours", had supported Thursday morning the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire.

Negotiations took place on Thursday evening, culminating this Friday in the signing of an agreement and the lifting of this strike notice.
