During the year 2022, the Ministry of Education continued to work to raise the level of education and pay attention to vocational education in order to link it to the labor market, provide the requirements of the educational and educational process, compensate the educational loss for those who dropped out of education, develop study plans, educational curricula, exam systems and their evaluation, and modernize educational equipment and tools in line with modern technical methods and interest in programs health.

The numbers speak for:

Rehabilitation of 2,494 schools damaged by terrorist crimes in a number of governorates.

More than 2 million health services for pupils and students were provided by the Directorate of Oral and Dental Medicine at the Ministry through fixed, mobile and mobile clinics.

During 2022, the Ministry issued a number of books as educational resources and specialized supporting guides, including specialized guides for the Arabic language, social studies, biology, civic education, authoring a curriculum for a number of vocational education materials, and emotional learning curricula for the secondary stage and adult education.

Piloting the developed category (B) curriculum (for the second phase) with the start of the academic year 2022-2023 in 112 schools, completing the writing of vocational education books for grades (fourth, fifth, and sixth) and applying them experimentally in four governorates, and starting writing empowering (self-learning) books.

In the field of developing educational evaluation and measurement, the Ministry worked on applying the vocational tendencies scale, building a placement form for class (B) learners, placing a note card for class (B) students to whom the placement form is applied, and building standardized tests for the second semester exam for the current academic year.

– In the field of early childhood, the Ministry has issued the standards that must be met by nannies who work in the early childhood learning divisions within the “Get Ready to Enter School” project, securing 200 kindergarten rooms in public schools, taking into account the integration criteria and launching the training guide in the field of children’s rights.

The opening of a number of examination centers in the embassies of the Syrian Arab Republic accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to conduct the candidacy test for the general secondary exams, in its scientific and literary branches, for those wishing to apply as a free study, in order to activate the role of licensed virtual electronic schools inside Syria, and to reduce travel burdens on students and their parents.

The Ministry has reopened 31 teacher training institutes in the governorates in order to secure teaching staff for the basic education stage.

Printing about 22 million copies of textbooks and ensuring their transportation to all governorates by land and air.

The opening of 15 virtual schools, in addition to the launch of the second issue of the Syrian electronic educational magazine, and the establishment of distance learning courses for teachers to learn the skills of paper and electronic evaluation at the Center for Educational Measurement and Evaluation.

More than 76,000 students in 2,712 schools benefited during the academic year 2021-2022 from education according to the category (B) curriculum related to compensating for educational losses.

65 memorandums of understanding signed by the ministry with a number of international organizations, associations and civil institutions, in addition to a number of agreements with ministries, government institutions and friendly countries.
