Gold prices rose today in the local market by 6 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the price announced yesterday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21-carat gold recorded a selling price of 318 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 317,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram reached a selling price of 272,571 pounds and a purchase of 272,071 pounds.
A gram of 21 carat gold recorded last Saturday a selling price of 312 thousand pounds and a purchase of 311,500 pounds, and a gram of 18 carat, a selling price of 267,429 pounds and a purchase of 266,929 pounds.
The association emphasized that craftsmen must abide by the pricing issued by it, under penalty of violation.
