Almost five years to the day after getting its hands on Westfield - and heading for America - Unibail Rodamco Westfield (URW) continues its retirement from the United States.
Forced in 2020 to change its strategy in this market after the takeover led by its shareholders Xavier Niel, founder of Free, and Léon Bressler, the group announced on Tuesday the sale of The Village.

55% owned by URW and based in California's San Fernando Valley, this 55,000 m2 outdoor center is located on the edge of the Promenade development site, a site that the group has already recently sold for 150 million dollars (140 million euros).
"Unibail's flagship store in this commercial area, Westfield Topanga, is not part of the transaction,"
the group said.
