Gold prices rose today in the local market by 5 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the price recorded yesterday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21-carat gold recorded a selling price of 330,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 329,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram reached a selling price of 382,857 pounds, and a purchase of 382,357 pounds.
The association also set the price of an ounce of 995 carat, sold at 12,200,000 pounds, as well as the price of a 21-carat gold pound at 2,800,000 pounds.
The association emphasized that the craftsmen adhere to the pricing issued by it under penalty of legal accountability, calling on citizens not to buy any gold piece, ounce, or gold pound other than the regular price, and distributed phone numbers for complaints when necessary: 1224800501, 0112230766, and 0991937718.
