1. Location determination

I can look at my situation at work from different aspects and questions.

  • Am I (still) in the right place where I am now?

  • Am I satisfied in my job?

  • What has changed compared to the situation when I first joined the company?

  • Are my knowledge, my experience, my potential (still) needed here?

2. Change

The more precisely I recognize a problem, the more concretely I can work on the solution.

  • What would have to change for me to be happy at work?

  • Why is it that I am (no longer) motivated to do my job every day?

  • What do I need to be able to develop further?

3. New or old goals?

I can only arrive if I know my destination.

  • What goal have I set for this new year?

  • How can I achieve this goal?

  • Do I need support for this?

4. Learn from mistakes, make successes visible, share ideas

No false modesty.

Become visible, share ideas and get ahead.

  • Have I created a success journal in which I record my successes as well as lessons learned from mistakes and thus make my development steps comprehensible and tangible?

  • What challenges have I mastered in the last year and what insights will I take with me for the new year?

  • What did I learn from projects or tasks that didn't go so well?

  • Will I get more involved in meetings in the future and will I dare to share and promote ideas?

5. Networks

A supporting network creates connections and promotes ideas and exchange.

  • Am I networked with colleagues in the company beyond my department?

  • Which networks outside my company can and would I like to join?

  • Where can I make my expertise visible and provide support (e.g. social media, business networks)?

6. Resolve old conflicts

Leave the past year behind and start the new year tidily.

  • Do I want to take the start of the New Year as an opportunity to finally settle the old conflict with my colleague?

  • Do I want to tackle and solve the conflicts in my private environment that are burdening me in carrying out my work?

  • Should I seek support for this if necessary?

7. Appointment with the boss

At the beginning of the year, with renewed determination, we finally arrange a meeting with our supervisor and set sail for our own development.

  • Do I finally want to arrange a salary interview or do I keep putting it off?

  • Have I thought about why I deserve a raise?

  • Can I derive what (added) value I have actually provided in my area of activity/for my department/for the company?

  • Do I want to take on new or different tasks?

  • Do I want to develop further in the company, take on more responsibility?

  • Do I wish for more or different perspectives?

  • Do I want to further my professional development?

  • Can I imagine a (different) management position?

I wish you that you can go your own way and live as far as possible in accordance with your values and needs, that you can unfold your full potential and develop further - if you want to.

Here's to a happy, healthy and satisfying 2023!
