Gold prices rose today in the local market by 5 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the price recorded last Thursday, due to the significant increase in the global price of an ounce, reaching $1867.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 310 thousand pounds, and a purchase price of 309,500 pounds, while the price of an 18-carat gram recorded a selling price of 265,714 pounds, and a purchase price of 265,214 pounds.
The association set the price of an ounce of 995 carat at 11,500,000 selling pounds, and the selling price of the golden pound at 2,630,000 pounds.
The price of a gram of 21 carat gold was recorded last Thursday, a selling price of 305 thousand Syrian pounds, and a purchase price of 304,500 pounds, and a gram of 18 carat, a record of 261,429 selling pounds and 260,929 buying pounds.
