Musical chairs at one of the largest employers in Israel:

Yaniv Gerti, CEO of Intel Israel and Vice President of Intel Global

, announced today (Monday) that he has decided to end his position after six years in



the position. Gerti will be replaced as joint CEOs by

Karin Eivshitz Segal,

CEO Liit of the development centers of Intel Israel and the manager of the Holidacia organization in the global chip design and development group, and

Daniel Ben Atar

, joint CEO of Intel's manufacturing plants in the world;

Both are corporate vice presidents in the company.

The goal of the collaboration between the two is to bring about an optimal connection between the areas of development and production that are at the core of Intel's global IDM 2.0 strategy.



On the occasion of the appointment, Karin Eybshitz Segal said: "Many thanks to Yaniv for leading Intel Israel during 6 significant years of work, technological developments and contribution to society in Israel. I am happy and excited to lead Intel Israel together with Daniel, under whose management the manufacturing plants reached the forefront of global technology, alongside doing and significant success in the development of the South. Together we will continue to contribute to the realization of Intel's global vision, to the development and production of leading computing, communication, artificial intelligence and cyber products, and to the continued strengthening of Intel's influence and significant contribution to society in Israel in the fields of education, academia and diverse communities."



Daniel Ben Atar wanted to convey that "I thank Yaniv on a personal and professional level for his contribution to the growth of Intel in Israel and am excited to share the new role with Kirin, who has a variety of successes and innovative technological activity in the organization and Intel Israel in particular.

Regarding his retirement, Yaniv Gerti said that after 6 years of significant work at Intel Israel, he wants to turn to the continuation of his personal and professional path.

The new joint CEOs of Intel Israel

Karin Ivshitz-Segal started her role at Intel 21 years ago as a computer science student at the Technion, since then she has focused on product development and quality and performance testing technologies.



Today, Ibshitz-Segal leads Intel's global validation organization, which is responsible for testing all personal computing products and servers, and acts as the CEO of Intel's development centers in Israel on three campuses that employ thousands of employees who are responsible for groundbreaking developments.



Ibshitz-Segal stands out in her efforts to promote the State of Israel as a technological leader. , among other things through fruitful collaboration with academia and industry.Being a member of the National Committee for Increasing Human Capital in Hi-Tech, Karin led the team to increase the proportion of women in technological professions.



Daniel Ben Atar started his career at Intel about 30 years ago as a student and then as an engineer at a plant in Jerusalem, the first plant that Intel established in Israel.

He has a master's degree in physics and a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.



Ben Atar served as CEO of the manufacturing plants in Israel and two years ago was promoted to a central position in the organization as joint CEO of Intel's manufacturing plants in the world, including the plants in Israel, Ireland, Germany, Arizona, Oregon and Ohio in the USA. Throughout his career, Daniel worked in full partnership with Intel and the authorities in Kiryat Gat to create full occupational diversity in programs such as "Ofek Darom".



Ben Atar also held a variety of positions in the fields of engineering, management and leadership of production groups in Israel and around the world, including positions in the development of advanced process technology, and the establishment and upgrading of large factories for the production of cutting edge technologies and groundbreaking projects way in the world of technology on a large scale.



Eivshitz-Segal and Ben Atar will officially begin their duties as joint CEOs of Intel Israel on January 31, 2023, and Viniv Gerti will accompany them in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition of the position.
