A low cost adds another plane to its domestic and regional fleet

The low cost airline Flybondi added a new plane to its fleet and continues with its investment plan in Argentina.

This Thursday, its twelfth plane arrived in the country, a Boeing 737-800 NG from Arkansas, United States.

The aircraft will begin its commercial operation after carrying out the administrative registration and certification processes and will bear the registration number LV-KEF.

As announced months ago, the airline also launched

a search for at least five aircraft

on the leasing market to continue completing its regional and cabotage fleet in 2023.


"Thanks to the success of this plan, which allowed the fleet and offer to be doubled, its market share more than doubled compared to 2019," the company said in a statement.

And he added: "Currently with a market share of 21% for domestic flights and 5% for the international market,

the company is positioned and reaffirmed as the second largest airline in the country.

Likewise, its flights have a level of occupancy above 90%."

Recently, Flybondi announced its third interprovincial route and as of March 2 it will once again connect the provinces of Córdoba and Salta.

The connection will have 3 weekly frequencies on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Flybondi in numbers:

  • It has a fleet of 12 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with 189 single-class seats.

  • It flies to 17 domestic destinations

    : Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Corrientes, Córdoba, Jujuy, Mendoza, Neuquén, Posadas, Iguazú, Salta, Santiago del Estero, Trelew, Tucumán, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, El Calafate and Comodoro Rivadavia.

  • It currently flies to three international destinations in Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Florianópolis.

  • It has a 21% domestic market share and 5% international market share (December 2022).

The low cost stomp

The investment plan that the two low cost operating in the country has been going strong.

According to market data, it is estimated that by the middle of this year between the two it could have 20 aircraft.

In October of last year, Flybondi had incorporated its eighth aircraft (it already has 12 in total).
