order to cover the issue from every possible angle, the committee issued summons letters to the finance officials, the heads of the industrialists, the farmers' organizations, the consumers - and a long list of related parties The food manufacturers and the managers of the food chains did not rush to confirm their participation in the discussion, which led to an unprecedented step on the part of the chairman:
ahead of the Economic Committee meeting, MK Bitan announced that he would not accept the absence of the large food companies and marketing chains. He referred to the intention not to appear for the discussion and said that it is not possible for these companies to ignore the public and not give it an account, and noted that the absence will affect the attitude of the committee to the companies in the future.
