Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed that sales of Chinese brand passenger cars jumped 22.8 percent last year.
The data reported by Xinhua indicated that about 11.77 million domestic brand passenger cars were sold last year, while the market share of these cars reached 49.9 percent, up 5.4 percentage points year on year.
