Damascus, SANA- Gold prices rose in the local market by 3 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 carats, compared to gold prices.

Gold prices rose in the local market by 3 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the price recorded yesterday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 340,000 pounds, and a purchase price of 339,500 pounds, while the price of an 18-carat gram recorded a selling price of 291,429 pounds, and a purchase price of 290,929 pounds.

The association set the selling price of the 995-carat ounce at 12,650,000 pounds, and the selling price of the 21-carat gold pound at 2,950,000 pounds.

And the price of a gram of 21 carat gold rose locally by 7 thousand pounds yesterday, to record a selling price of 337 thousand pounds, and a purchase price of 336,500 pounds, while the price of a gram of 18 carat recorded a selling price of 288,857 pounds, and 288,357 pounds, a purchase price.

The association emphasized that craftsmen must abide by the pricing issued by it, under penalty of legal accountability.
