Mahrukat confirmed that the quantities of diesel and gasoline distributed to the governorates have gradually improved since the beginning of this year, coinciding with the arrival of new supplies of crude oil and oil derivatives, the launch of the Banias refinery and the increase in production.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Eng. Issa Issa, Director of Operation and Maintenance in the company, said: The quantities distributed to the governorates have reached more than 5 million liters of diesel and 3 million liters of gasoline per day, at a rate of approximately 75 percent, which led to a noticeable improvement in the reality of the various economic and service sectors. such as transportation, agriculture, industry and others.

Issa added: The distribution of heating oil to families has resumed, bringing the distribution rate to 47 percent, and in some governorates to 78 percent.

Regarding the continued improvement in the reality of oil derivatives during the coming period, Issa explained that with the regularity of supplies, the continuation of the work of refineries and the stability of their production, the improvement is continuing and the citizen will notice it through the improvement in the reality of electricity and the decrease in the duration of the arrival of gasoline and domestic gas messages.

He continued: The Ministry of Oil and a fuel company will spare no effort in order to communicate to secure oil derivatives by all available means and provide them, in a manner commensurate with the actual and necessary needs of all activities and citizens.

Issa pointed out that the last period of last year witnessed a noticeable decline in the quantities of oil derivatives distributed to the governorates, due to the delay in the arrival of supplies of crude oil and contracted oil derivatives, which led to a decline in refinery production and their suspension for periods of time during which the Ministry of Oil and a fuel company were forced to take precautionary measures by gradually reducing for provincial allocations.
