Gas prices in Europe fell today by more than 3 percent, and fell below the level of $600 per thousand cubic meters, for the first time since August 31, 2021.
Novosti stated that gas futures contracts for the month of February fell on the “TTF” index in the Netherlands, by 3.2 percent, to 559 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
The drop in gas prices comes against a backdrop of rising temperatures, yet these prices in Europe are still about twice as high as the multi-year average.
