Gold prices in the local market increased by 4 thousand Syrian pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the price recorded on the 21st of this month, due to the significant increase in the global price of an ounce, reaching $1941.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmanship Association for Drafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 352 thousand pounds and a purchase price of 351,500 pounds, while the price of an 18-carat gram recorded a selling price of 301,714 pounds, a purchase price of 301,214 pounds.
The association set the selling price of the 995-carat ounce at 13,100,000 pounds, and the selling price of the 21-carat gold pound at 3,000,000 pounds.
The association emphasized that craftsmen must abide by the pricing issued by it, under penalty of legal accountability.
