Gold prices recorded a slight increase at the close of trading today.
Reuters reported that gold rose in spot transactions by 0.1 percent to $19,321.34 an ounce, and gold futures contracts in the United States rose 0.2 percent to $1,932.10.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in the spot market 0.7 percent to $ 23.62 an ounce, while platinum increased 1.1 percent to $ 1058.38, and palladium jumped 2.2 percent to $ 1741.09 an ounce.
