Domestic employees: how much will they charge with an increase per hour and month from February

The total increase was 24% to be received in 4 installments: 8%, in December; 7% in January; 5% in February and 4% in March.


Domestic workers will receive the third increase

agreed upon by the National Commission for Work in Private Houses in February.

That percentage will be 5%,

which is added to the 8% in December and the 7% received in January.

In this way, when the remaining 4% is added in March, the 24% agreed in the last month of 2022 will be rounded off.

In this way, again each category of domestic service (there are 5 in total) will undergo a change depending on how that 5% (non-remunerative) affects them in wages.

Those

who charge per day, per week or per fortnight, will see that increase reflected in February

.

For

those who charge monthly

, on the other hand,

this last adjustment will only be seen in March.

With all the percentages received,

the so-called "fifth category"

or for general tasks -which is the most numerous and the most in demand- at the end of the journey

will charge $611.32 in March and $75,074.56 per month

(in both cases, personal with withdrawal) and

$659.06 and $83,482.38 per month

(without withdrawal).

One by one, what salary corresponds from February 2023, according to the category

  • Personnel for general tasks

    : $638 per hour and $80,789.39 per month, without retirement;

    and $592 per hour and $72,652.80 per month, with withdrawal.

  • Assistance and care of people

    : $714 per hour and $90,031.20 per month without withdrawal;

    and $638 per hour and $80,789.50 per month, with withdrawal.

  • Landlords

    : $638 per hour and $80,789.5 per month.

  • Personnel for specific tasks

    : $676 per hour and $82,805 per month, with retirement.

    And $741 an hour and $92,176 a month, without withdrawal.

  • Supervisors

    : $782 an hour and $99,278.44 a month without withdrawal.

    And $714 an hour, and $89,128 a month, with withdrawal.

According to the collective agreement, the personnel that carry out tasks included in more than one category, will be included in the one that is the main one that they perform regularly.

And in addition, the equivalent of 30% of the minimum wages set for each of the categories must be applied, if the person works in areas such as La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and Islands. of the South Atlantic, or in the Partido de Patagones of the Province of Buenos Aires.

With this last adjustment of 24% agreed in December, and according to government sources, the annual increase in the wages of workers in private homes in the period between March 2022 and 2023 will be 119.8%. This increase will impact the minimum wages of employees who work per hour and per month;

and will benefit approximately 1,300,000 workers in Casas Particulares.
