Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt estimated on Friday that the symbolic closure of town halls on January 31 in solidarity with the mobilization against the pension reform posed a problem of "neutrality".

The Minister of Labor mentioned a "moral or political" problem since "among Parisians (...), all those who are not opposed to it will be deprived of access to public services to which they are entitled, because of the political commitment" of their mayor.

In the North, strike hours not counted

Other municipalities have joined this movement of “solidarity town halls”, such as that of Bonneuil-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne).

The LFI mayor of Faches-Thumesnil (Nord), Patrick Proisy, for his part announced that the strike hours of the agents of his city would not be counted from 2 p.m., "so that they can go after noon at the demonstration in Lille”.

So that the agents of @villefachesthu can go to the demonstration in Lille in the afternoon during the #greve31janvier, I decided that the hours of strike would not be deducted from the salary from 2 p.m.
