41 years old, married + 3. Lives in the settlement of Kneam, engages in running, surfing and Zumba.

When did you start doing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

During my military service as a sports instructor, I started running a lot alone and with the soldiers, but after that I took a break and for many years I didn't run or play sports regularly. In recent years, and towards the establishment of the start-up I lead, I started running regularly and also participating in races.

How does sport help you in your personal and business life?

Since I lead a start-up Technological, something I've always wanted to achieve and is a huge dream come true for me, I'm able to get carried away and work non-stop. The startup world is very dynamic, the progress and growth of the startup is on our shoulders as entrepreneurs and those who lead the company, and there is no doubt that there is an element of crazy stress that is difficult avoid it.

For me, sports help relieve stress and maintain mental strength and peace of mind.

In addition, sports make it possible to disconnect from the screens completely, thus gaining a new perspective on every challenge or move, both personal and professional.

I do the training for the races and also the races themselves almost on a regular basis with my father and it's a very fun and close shared pastime.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

I believe there is a clear correlation.

For me personally, the sport provides energy, motivation and peace that is hard to find elsewhere.

In my opinion, engaging in any sporting field is the most positive way to deal with any difficulty or challenge, which are an integral part of both establishing a business from scratch and leveraging it for business success.

I don't believe in lack of time, it's just a matter of priorities.

Whoever decides that it is important for him to invest in himself and his soul, will engage in sports or any other activity that gives him pleasure and gives him a sense of meaning and fulfillment.

What are your sporting goals today?

I usually sign up for races so that I always have a clear goal that I want to be ready for and so that I can keep fit regularly.

Last summer I also started learning to surf and it is a particularly challenging and addictive sport that I persevere in, especially during the winter days when the water is frozen, but the feeling of euphoria as soon as you manage to catch a wave surpasses everything.

I wish everyone who wants to get out of their comfort zone to grow and fulfill themselves, to dare and go running, surfing or anything else that will give them meaning and do them good for the soul.

, 54 years old, married + 3, lives in Haifa, is engaged in cycling and dirt biking, as well as running, swimming and Pilates.

When did you start playing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

I have always been a sports freak, like who likes to experiment with new and extreme things. My training schedule is fixed so that every day I do at least one thing: twice a week I do Pilates, once I run in the forest and once I go swimming and the weekend I dedicate to riding, on Fridays I go cross-country cycling and Saturday goes out with the group to ride motorcycles.

How does sport help you in your personal life and business?

I don't refer to it as "training", but more of a way of life.

I make sure to combine different types of sports to diversify and not get bored.

It has literally become a regime that my body and mind require to maintain the high pace that is expected of me during the day.

That's why I'm only able to do sports early in the morning, a kind of reboot for the body from which I leave for a whole day of meetings and thinking that requires a lot of concentration.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

It can be said that persistence in sports for me is a personality and management tool.

I feel that with the help of the training I improve my ability to listen, develop patience, but at the same time also instill discipline - both self-discipline and the ability to demand discipline and mission from the employees in the organization.

how does it work out

Sports do require time, but if you give up another hour of sleep in the morning, you find that there is enough time to go out and do a focused workout and then start the day.

At first it is no doubt difficult, but once it becomes the routine of life it is no different than taking a break to eat.

For me the advantages outweigh the disadvantages without any doubt and are the motivation to persevere.

What are your sporting goals today?

My main goal is to continue enjoying the road.

The sport for me is a way to strengthen physically and mentally, to create shared experiences with my riding friends and to get to know the country.

I believe that all my actions, business and personal, are driven through people and collaborations, therefore I see great importance in personal relationships and perseverance in both areas.

, 36 years old, married + 2, lives in Hod Hasharon, engages in surfing and yoga.

When did you start playing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

I started surfing at the age of 14 - it is my main hobby that has accompanied me all my life .I got an '86 ULTRA WAVE surfboard from my older sister's friend, completely broken, and started going to the beach every chance I got until I got the hang of it.How

does the sport help you in your personal and business life?

For me, surfing, and later yoga as well, is first of all an act of bringing proportion to life.

Because the sea determines when I can surf and not my schedule, when there are waves I find a way to stop the busy day and just disconnect for two hours. It reminds me every time again that there is life and you can always find the balance between working very hard and doing what you love. These proportions are also important for professional life and business. It allows one to keep one's composure and make more informed decisions, because "everything is fine, let's get into the proportions for a moment and think about it calmly." It is also important for me to take advantage of this stage to praise the community of Israeli surfers. I highly recommend every surfer to listen to the excellent podcast MedCast, which tells the history of surfing in Israel.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

It may be a bit philosophical and not scientific, but at least about myself I feel that it is.

Surfing is one of the sports with the least certainty.

There is no field you can just come to and practice, you have to wait for the conditions to be right (and in the Mediterranean it is doubly challenging).

When the conditions are right then you enter the water and in fact you constantly have to adjust yourself and the surfboard to the situation that never stops changing.

All these things, at least for me, also affect work and the business world: the conditions are never optimal and most of the day you have to re-read the situation, make adjustments and make quick decisions.

"Lack of time" is a fiction.

It's all relative and it's mostly an inability or unwillingness to take care of your priorities.

I know how to get up before sunrise when I need to or go to the beach in the middle of the work day.

If you want, you can.

All the rest, at least in my eyes, are excuses.

If there is a will there is a way.

What are your sporting goals today?

preserve the existing

To be able to change the schedule and go to the sea for two hours when there are waves, or close this hour and a half at the end of the day at least once a week to practice yoga. The truth is, this is contrary to the business goals, where I constantly try to increase the pace and do more, but it would not be possible If I hadn't given high priority to the sport that makes me feel good and helps me in general to keep a high focus at all times and to make big and small decisions with the speed required for lasting success.

, 34 years old, married +3, lives in Rosh Ha'Ain, is involved in track driving.

When

did you start playing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

After that - and until after the military service, which included two and a half years of permanent operational service - I adjusted the sports activities according to what could be done at that time, whether it was cycling along the Gaza Strip, training in the regimental gym and above all a lot of running and strength training.

It kept me productive and focused, with the changes in life, sports have always taken an integral part of my life and adapted to a part of life, I have always been interested in driving scooters and saw it as a challenge along with endless adrenaline, a sport that trains every sense and muscle in the body, makes you think, react, perform, plan processes Critical and immediate in no time, the adrenaline swept me into track driving.

How does sport help you in your personal life and business?

As the CEO of an integration company that provides services to hundreds of high-tech companies, my life span is very intense, days that can start at 5 in the morning and continue until 8 in the evening and even more. Sports, whether it's a gym or track driving, provides me with focus, the ability to make quick and critical decisions, leaves I am full of energy throughout the day and mainly makes me focus on what is really important and less on distractions that are very easy to reach when you work multitasking. The sport helps me to be more calm, relaxed, purposeful and energetic - all this leads to personal and professional results.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

Unequivocally, yes.

The more you practice, the higher you will achieve, whether it's driving a track to achieve the best lap times, whether it's running or even techniques for performing cardio-pulmonary exercises.

As you practice, you will develop abilities that will help you be your number 1 first.

From there it continues to the business world, the hunger for success, to reach first place, to improve, to conquer new goals and to succeed, a sports derivative that is projected into the business world.

Every day I see business owners or companies next to me who do not exercise, that's how their day looks, tired, exhausted and unmotivated which is the complete opposite of the feeling when you are physically active.

Senior women and men in the economy "suffer" from lack of time.

Over time you learn that results don't necessarily come if you work more, on the contrary, you need to create free time, clear your head, take breaks, fill your body and mind with creativity, adrenaline and things you like to do.

All this will lead you to be many times more productive.

I can sit in the office 14 hours a day and say that I have a lot more to do, I am a CEO, I will always have something to do but I choose how to do it right.

When my middle daughter was born I allowed myself to take a month and a half break from almost everything, not only that It didn't hurt productivity, I worked a few hours a week and the supplies were amazing. After I got back to my routine, I continued to find places for myself that are mine for myself and it only makes the bottom line good. Lack of time is a choice, a choice not to choose. I also sin in saying I don't have time sometimes. When you want, everything Possible We need to know how to choose correctly

What are your sporting goals today?

One of my sporting goals, which completely applies to the business world, is to know how to do it right, not rush and not get injured, maintain good results over time, learn, correct and improve on the next course.

This is also how I behave with my team in every project or task.

You need to know how to constantly improve, even if the results are good, there will always be someone who will try to overtake you with a more powerful or more expensive car, but in the end it's not the car, it's the driver, the technique, the experience and the professionalism that play an important factor in every decision, project and route.

, 40 years old, married + 2, lives in Tel Aviv, does Pilates equipment.

When did you start doing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

Sports have been a significant part of my life since I was young, in the army I served as a combat fitness instructor in the Magellan unit , and then I developed a love for Pilates equipment. As soon as I finished my studies and started my career in the world of marketing I realized that I had to incorporate it regularly into my daily life in order to balance my work life. Over time it became even more of a challenge that family and children arrived, but I define I have fixed times for myself when I free up time for training.

How does sport help you in your personal life and business?

Sport puts me in focus, I know it's fixed in my calendar in advance, and I arrange my schedule accordingly. It helps me start the day after an hour that is just for me, in which I try to clear my head of all the meetings, stress and projects I'm working on. Place My job Medz allows me to take this time and start the day in a more effective way.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

I believe that everyone finds the things that make them feel good and promote them on a personal level, for many people sports help on a daily basis and in life in general. I I think that sport mainly brings into the framework, perseverance and achieving goals, things that characterize the business world.

What are your sporting goals today?

One of my main goals is to get back to running, unfortunately in recent years I've neglected it, but I totally set running as a goal for the coming year, just like the other goals I set for myself in .Medz

, 24 years old, single, lives in Tel Aviv, is engaged in surfing.

When did you start playing sports and at what stage were you in your professional life?

I started playing sports from a young age. I always liked sports, especially tennis and surfing.

I started surfing at the age of 8 at a summer camp and pretty much fell in love with it.

Before the army I taught surfing and today I surf for fun before the work day and on the weekends. I was in the army for 4 years, as a cyber defender. During the army it was more difficult for me to combine surfing unfortunately but I played tennis and went to functional training in a gym. Because I started at a young age it is hard to say where I have been in my professional life.

How does sport help you in your personal and business life?

Many times I feel that surfing helps me to balance stress and worries that arise during the working days.

When I go to work after I managed to surf for an hour in the morning everything seems achievable.

The bassa is that you depend on the state of the sea to go surfing so there is no certain routine around it.

In the summer, with the long days, it is also possible to go in the evening after work for a dreamy sunset session, again depending on the sea conditions.

Do you think there is a correlation between sports and success in the business world?

I suppose so.

I feel that doing sports changes my perspective on work in the context of releasing pressure, and really creates some kind of inner calm.

I also do a sport that I really, really love, so many times it doesn't feel forced or forced at all.

This is important when you sit all day in a chair in front of a computer, I suppose it is felt by everyone.

I think that stress is degenerate and there is something in sports that helps release it, at least in my feeling, so there must be a connection.

Senior women and men in the economy "suffer" from lack of time.

Sports require time and commitment.

how does it work out

Excuses can always be found, but in the end there is X amount of hours in a day that we are all efficient for work and concentration level.

Whether it's an hour or 40 minutes, as much as everyone feels they can invest in it, this is what will change our effectiveness in our personal and professional lives.. How can we give it up?

You can find easy conditions where you can combine it during the work day.

I once read about someone who schedules some of her meetings for walking outside, if it's a meeting that doesn't require a computer and you can walk along.

She informs the participant in advance to bring shoes and incorporates this during the work day and says that not only does it make her feel good, but it also stimulates creativity and thinking from a different angle about ongoing problems.

Today there are places that provide gyms at work or nearby, and you can train right after work and go out after rush hour and save time.

It's harder to get home after a day's work and then go out to exercise, reducing the chances of this happening.

What are your sporting goals today?

My goals right now are to enjoy, maintain a healthy and balanced life span.

We eat lunch every day outside, and sit every day all day in front of the computer and without sports activities all kinds of pains arise, back and neck pains.

The sport helps me with my back pain and also to feel good.

I want to maintain my sports routine where if there are waves I go surfing and another independent training during the week.

Professor Liat Kolik, a researcher of interrelationships between work and family from Bar Ilan University and Netanya Academic College

: According to studies in the field, it is clear that through sports activities, managers acquire skills and habits that may help them in their managerial roles.

The skills acquired while engaging in sports activities can be considered as soft skills, which is a general characteristic, but they are necessary today in the tough job market.

These are skills that improve function and can be transferred from occupation to occupation, from organization to organization and from one managerial position to another, and are an asset for the CEO who holds them, such as identifying goals and meeting them, which are required in the field of sports as well as in the field of management, development of determination and self-discipline, important skills acquired during sports activities and may to assist CEOs in the business world.

Other skills are perseverance and mental toughness that develop when practicing sports and are required today in the tough and competitive world of work.

In addition to these, it is possible to identify the development of a desire for achievement that sharpens during sports activities and the ability to meet challenges - which is acquired during sports activities and transferred to the management arena.

In the organizational aspect, when the sport is performed in a group, it has additional benefits over the personal ones such as group formation, creating a group identity, getting to know the employees in informal aspects that contribute to the good feeling.

From an organizational point of view, an organization that offers the possibility of sports activities to employees actually offers a benefit to employees and creates an organizational culture, which conveys caring to employees and who in return give back by expressing commitment to the organization.

To all these must be added the physiological and psychological aspect that is well known among professionals for a long time: sports activity improves physical health, reduces anxiety, contributes to improving brain function, contributes to a good mood immediately and over time.

Healthier employees will be less absent from work and their productivity will increase.

All of these are true, but one should of course avoid becoming addicted to doing sports, which harms employees in many ways.
