Damascus-SANA
The Syrian Air Corporation announced the resumption of its flights between Damascus and Baghdad at a rate of two flights per week (Sundays and Thursdays), starting from the 2nd of next February.
The Director General of Syrian Airlines, Eng. Obeida Gabriel, explained in a statement to SANA that Baghdad is one of the important stations in the work map of Syrian Airlines, and it is among the stations on which operations were previously ongoing, and today, in light of the increasing demand and the economic and service feasibility, the movement of passengers will be served on it back and forth via Damascus International Airport.
Gabriel indicated that after two years of stopping, the resumption of operations comes due to the improvement in the operational capacity of flights, and the increase in the demand for travel between Syria and Iraq.
