Renault shares lost more than 3% on Monday on the Paris Stock Exchange after the detailed announcement of an overhaul of its partnership with the Japanese manufacturer Nissan.
Around 9:43 a.m., Renault shares fell 3.15% to 36.99 euros in a market down 0.27%.
Renault and Nissan announced on Monday an imminent rebalancing of their cross-shareholdings: each will hold 15% of the capital of the other and as many voting rights.
Nissan will also become a "strategic shareholder" of Ampere, the future electric pole of Renault.
