Today, the Central Bank of Syria issued a decision to amend the list of materials attached to Resolution 1070 of 2021, according to which importers of a category of raw materials needed for industry were allowed to use the appropriate source of financing in foreign exchange, either through exchange companies, or from their accounts abroad, or from their own legitimate sources.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the Central Bank indicated that the amendment of the aforementioned decision comes in line with government directives to support production operations, and in line with the proposals of the Federation of Chambers of Industry, to encourage industrialists to use their savings to increase production capacity in their facilities.
The list amended according to the resolution includes yeast, lentils, chickpeas, beans and sugar cane molasses.
