It was October 24, 2022. Danielle and her husband, residents of Crécy-la-Chapelle in Seine-et-Marne, go to the Cuisinella store in Chanteloup-en-Brie.

Those who only have a simple microwave want to have fun and finally acquire a large and beautiful kitchen.

“At first, we thought of Ikea, but you have to be a handyman.

And then, there were plenty of ads on TV for Cuisinella, we said to ourselves:

This brand is known,

it was reassuring”, rewinds this 50-year-old.

The couple decides for a designer kitchen at 6,600 euros (delivery and installation included), more than three times their monthly income.

Appointment is made for January 25.

But on D-Day, no one shows up at their house.

The store is no longer responding.

Danielle ends up sending an email, and receives an automatic response: “Due to the closure of the store, we will no longer be able to answer you (…) please contact Schmidt customer service (

Schmidt groupe is the parent company of Cuisinella

).

Danielle is still waiting for her kitchen while several of her checks have been cashed for an amount of 5063 euros.

Today, Danielle is all the more worried that three of her four checks have been cashed, for an amount of 5,063 euros.

She, who has been managing for ten days with a cooker lent by neighbors, because the couple had cleaned up their kitchen, created a Facebook group (Collective customers Cuisinella Domus), which already has 76 subscribers.

The parent company will take over

Mélody and her companion, who live near Coulommiers, experienced the same misadventure.

Except that they invested 13,000 euros, including 4,100 euros paid on account.

It was just before the store closed.

Same number ringing in the void.

Same automatic email.

Mélody is especially angry, because the seller has brought forward the appointment scheduled for the end of January to January 16, the day before closing.

“He was necessarily aware”, plague the one who plans to hire a lawyer and file a complaint.

In total, four Cuisinella in the Paris region (in Rosny-sous-Bois in Seine-Saint-Denis; Chelles, Pontault-Combault and Chanteloup-en-Brie in Seine-et-Marne), belonging to the same family, have closed at the same time.

Asked, the parent company, Schmidt groupe (

customer service can be reached on 03.90.57.41.41

), assesses the number of files identified "for the Rault group" at "200" and specifies that it will complete the kitchen, since the “Cuisinella guarantee” covers “the successful completion of the work”.

On the other hand, “given the number of files, the deadlines (…) are unfortunately likely to be delayed”.

Asked about a possible reimbursement of the sums advanced, the group kicks on the other hand, since it advises aggrieved customers to turn to their store … which is closed.
