The opening to competition in Parisian buses must take place in January 2025 as required by law.
But, while the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, does not rule out postponing the end of this RATP monopoly, the president of Île-de-France Mobilités is stepping up the precautions to succeed in this sensitive operation.
Thus, in a letter sent on Friday, which
Le Figaro
consulted, it widens the scope of the mission entrusted to Jean-Paul Bailly, former boss of the RATP, and to Jean Grosset, former quaestor of the Cese (Economic, Social and Environmental Council ) to prepare for this deadline.
It asks them to mark out the opening up to competition on subjects such as
“assets (recovery of assets, condition of assets, vehicle audits…), information systems and continuity of service…”
.
This involves, for example, knowing whether it will be enough to audit 30% of the buses before the change of service provider to be certain that they are in good condition.
