Former member of Knesset Keren Barak was appointed today (Tuesday) as the chairman of the private natural gas and hydrogen electricity producers' forum which represents the companies that initiate, operate and produce natural gas electricity for the consumer and the Israeli economy. The forum brings together all the private electricity producers who currently supply over 35 % of the total electricity production in Israel.
Barak, who graduated with a master's degree in business administration (MBA), today serves as a senior consultant to leading companies in the economy. Barak served as a member of the Knesset on behalf of the Likud in the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th Knessets and served as the deputy speaker of the Knesset and a member of the finance committees , the economy, the interior and the quality of the environment, the advancement of women's status and gender equality and the chairman of the lobby for small and medium-sized businesses, the chairman of the lobby for the prevention of violence against women and more.
