In March, the quarterly increase for
the 9,427 retirees and pensioners
of national university teachers will be 21.57%, according to Social Security records.
This increase is because retired university professors have
their own mobility
, which is calculated by the variation in the salaries of active professors with contributions to the ANSeS, the so-called "Average Taxable Remuneration of University Professors" (RIPDUN).
Unlike the general regime, retired teachers have a special system, linked to the salaries of the assets they contribute to the ANSeS, taking quarterly variations into account.
Until the end of last year, the adjustment of assets was semi-annual.
And
it became quarterly
by Resolution No. 1566/2022 of November of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
There it was specified by "the
current inflationary context
it is necessary to grant the mobility that corresponds to them in parity of temporary conditions than the rest of the pension beneficiaries."
The sequence of increases since 2018 :
• In
2018
, retired university teachers received two increases for a total of 21.8%, compared to inflation of 47.6%.
A decline of 17.5%.
• In
2019
, the increase in teachers was 29.6% and inflation was 53.8%.
A loss of 15.7%.
• In
2020
, there was a partial recovery: the increase in teachers was 56.2% versus inflation of 36.1%.
An improvement of 14.8%.
• In
2021
, the increase was 45.9% versus inflation of 50.9%,
a loss of 3.3%.
• In
2022,
the increase was 88.78% versus inflation of 94.8%.
It represents
a loss against inflation of 3.1%.
End to end, represents
a deterioration of 25.2%.
The
differentiated increases for retired university teachers are due to the fact that the sector's pension law establishes that active workers contribute two additional points (13% of salary) and retire with 82% corresponding to the position they had in activity.
