According to the legend, Jean Loisier, founder of Courtepaille, would have had the idea of offering grilled meats prepared in front of customers following the defection of one of his cooks.
Did he ever imagine that his restaurants with circular roofs would be mentioned in the novels of a Goncourt prize - Michel Houellebecq - or frequented by a President of the Republic - Emmanuel Macron?
But myths don't always have it easy.
Tossed around for several years, the cult brand is now being put back on sale by the Napaqaro group (Buffalo Grill, Poppey's, etc.), just two years after its acquisition.
