Up to 2,000 additional jobs at the Renault-Nissan research and development center in Chennai (south-east India) should be created thanks to these new projects, the two partners said in a press release, without specifying the timetable. these projects.
The six new models announced - three from the French manufacturer and three from its Japanese partner - will be produced in their joint factory also located in Chennai.
This production site also aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, by intensifying its supply of electricity from renewable sources and reducing its energy consumption by 50% compared to today.
