Another member of the former leadership of the scandal-plagued Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) is taking action against his dismissal.

As confirmed by the labor court in Berlin, the broadcaster's director of operations, Christoph Augenstein, has filed a lawsuit who wants to take action against his dismissal.

The dpa news agency first reported on it.

At the beginning of February it became known that Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB), which had fallen into a deep crisis over allegations of nepotism, had parted ways with the last remaining members of management around the director Patricia Schlesinger, who had been fired without notice, including the operations director.

Overall, the court is currently dealing with three RBB top staff cases related to the broadcast affair, as the court confirmed.

It has long been known that the legal director is fighting against her dismissal.

A court date for the case is scheduled for June 7th.

In addition, the labor court has scheduled another chamber meeting for April 28th.

According to the spokeswoman, this is another dismissal protection procedure that the former head of the RBB directorship has initiated.

She was not part of the management.

The three top managers had not yet commented publicly on the separations, nor had they been asked to do so.

The RBB scandal is about felt allegations at the top of the station.

The focus is on the then director Schlesinger and the chief supervisor Wolf-Dieter Wolf.

Both rejected the allegations.

The public prosecutor's office in Berlin is investigating both Schlesinger's husband and some of the directors.

It is the presumption of innocence.
