These sectors mainly recruit young people and thus address the target audience more directly.
This choice also contributes to “
convey a somewhat dissuasive message to older job seekers
”, points out Indeed.
Some, who are uncomfortable with this way of exchanging in the professional context, may in fact not apply, even though they have the skills required for the job.
An additional brake
This detail of the familiarity - which is not one - does indeed act as an additional brake, even useless, with the employment of the seniors.
An area in which France does not already shine particularly.

In 2021, only 56% of this age group (55-64 years old) were employed, according to a Dares study published in January.
France is thus far behind Sweden and Germany, whose employment rate for seniors is 76.9% and 71.8% respectively.
The European Union average is set at 60.5%.
