Business creations in France fell 5.1% to 86,798 over one month in January, after falling 3.3% in December, INSEE reported on Wednesday, which nevertheless warns against the fragility of this data. .
This drop in registrations is due to a 7.8% drop in traditional business installations, to 32,404, as well as a less marked drop (-3.3%, to 54,394) in the number of new auto-entrepreneurs, which represent nearly two-thirds of the total, details the National Institute of Statistics.
But INSEE warns that this reduction in registrations comes as the establishment on January 1 of the one-stop shop for business formalities on the Inpi site, which has experienced many difficulties, "temporarily weakens the monthly monitoring
of business start-ups
”.
“
Evolutions in business creations must therefore be interpreted with great caution
,” warns the institute.
