Pending a possible mandatory conciliation that would only come out at noon, the 24-hour national strike announced by the Banking Association will begin shortly, within the framework of the joint negotiation of 2023. In this way, and after the carnival holidays of Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 February, the week will have only two business days.
This decision will mainly affect everything related to face-to-face, which is why the banking organizations
asked customers to
carry out the procedures
through remote service channels.
From the banking associations they recalled that the use of credit and debit cards will work normally.
And that the usual electronic channels such as home banking, apps and electronic wallets will also be available to the public.
In addition, ATMs
and
self-service terminals
of the branches of the different banking entities throughout the country
will be enabled .
What about the ANSeS payment schedule
Given the bank strike determined for this Thursday, February 23, the ANSeS reported that
there will be no changes to the usual payment schedule.
In this way, the beneficiaries will have pensions and social benefits accredited this Thursday in their bank account, as previously established.
Today they charge retirees and pensioners who earn more than a minimum credit with DNI ending in 2 and 3.
The holders of the Universal Child Allowance and Child Family Allowance whose DNI ends in 9 will also receive their payments. And the holders of the Pregnancy Allowance with DNI ending in 7.
In addition, holders of the Unemployment Benefit whose DNI ending in 0 and 1 will be charged.
What does the bank claim?
Through a statement, the Banking Association announced the 24-hour strike,
under the argument of the "defense of wages"
in which they reject the "provocative position of the business chambers", within the framework of the joint negotiation that they are carrying out .
Now, faced with the failure of a new instance of negotiation, the strike was ratified by the general secretary of the union, Sergio Palazzo, who declared that "we have established as joint issues, before discussing the percentage, that there be some type of compensation for part of the companies of the income tax that the workers are paying”.
Rumors indicate that in the next few hours, closer to noon, from the Ministry of Labor they would dictate the mandatory conciliation, but in any case this would not prevent the day of cessation of face-to-face activities.
