The French construction, media and telecoms giant recorded numerous costs with, for example, the proposed marriage between TF1 and M6, which was not followed up.

The French construction, media and telecoms giant Bouygues recorded in 2022 a net profit down 13.51% to 973 million euros, reduced by exceptional costs linked to operations, but operating profit increased by 16.38% to 2018 billion euros.

Net profit attributable to the group is down due to 90 million euros in exceptional costs linked in particular to the costs of mergers and acquisitions operations concerning the takeover of the Equans group from Engie and costs related to the proposed marriage between TF1 and M6 finally aborted in September.

2021 net profit was also inflated by Alstom share sales
