Here is some good economic news, for a change: the Histadrut and the Treasury have reached an agreement on wages for public sector workers, which will be signed today at noon.
The agreement was reached after what the Histadrut calls a "dramatic achievement": the salary of the helpers will increase immediately, from a starting salary of NIS 7,500 to NIS 10,000, depending on seniority.
And what about the rest of the state employees?
The overall salary agreement they are will embody - according to the requirements of the Histadrut - a 1.5% increase retroactively from 2020 and payment in several installments.
Agreements were also reached regarding additional sections such as shortening the work week in the public sector and more.
In terms of finance, this means that peace has been guaranteed from one of the most turbulent sectors, in the field of labor relations.
