The ruble rose against the euro and the dollar today, to compensate the Russian currency for some of the losses it suffered earlier.
RT reported that the dollar exchange rate fell by 33 kopecks (the ruble equals 100 kopecks to 75.29 rubles), while the euro exchange rate fell by 34 kopecks to 79.94 rubles.
In addition, the Moscow Stock Exchange index of shares denominated in the ruble increased by 0.66 percent to 2287.61 points, while the Moscow Stock Exchange index of shares denominated in dollars rose 1.07 percent to 955.48 points.
