Through Walter Martello, head of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE),
the Government asked the Justice to prevent
nine senior managers of the
Edesur
company from leaving the country .
The official made the presentation this Wednesday, in the case being processed in Comodoro Py, in the court in charge of
Julián Ercolini
.
There, a precautionary measure was requested to prevent executives Juan Carlos Blanco, Francesco Tutoli, María Alejandra Martínez, Víctor José Díaz Bobillo, Mónica Diskin, Giovanni Zanchetta, Jaime Barba, Alejandro Martínez and Valter Moro from traveling abroad.
According to the expansion of the complaint filed by Martello, the Government considers that Edesur "has
intentionally lost its operational capacity
" and therefore accuses its top managers of
"willfully frustrating" the electrical service
, affected during the last heat wave that occurred in March and left thousands of users in the dark.
This is
another escalation of tension between the Government and the
electricity concessionaire, which was criminally denounced for the consequences of the power outages and also intervened administratively, as announced by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa and the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón.
