A team proposal to lead the CGT, headed by Marie Buisson, was rejected overnight from Thursday to Friday by the National Confederal Committee (CCN), the union's "parliament", we
learned
from concurring sources.
The Confederal Executive Commission (CEC) which made this proposal began to meet around 11 p.m., after the members of the Congress had validated its composition.
Marie Buisson, the candidate designated by the outgoing management to take over from Philippe Martinez, proposed a management team, but the CCN, which must validate it, rejected it.
The members of the CEC therefore thought about another team, this time around Céline Verzeletti, without managing, on Friday morning, to agree.
The Congress program normally provides for the proclamation of the results before the Congress delegates at 10 am.
