Requests for receivership (André, Kookaï, Gap France, Kaporal, Go Sport…) are legion, and increasingly frequent liquidations (San Marina, Cop.Copine…).
Even the most pessimistic did not see the storm coming.
Signs that have been part of the French commercial landscape for decades are wiped off the map.
Not a buyer with strong backs does not appear.
Not an investor takes out his wallet.
Since 2008, the clothing sector has been structurally in decline.
It certainly rebounded in 2021 and 2022 after the collapse linked to the pandemic, but it is down 15% over fifteen years.
