The export of high-quality and unique goods and products from Israel is only increasing, and is expected to break another record during 2023, in light of the strong demand they receive from various countries around the globe.
The Israeli companies that manufacture and export the products have reluctantly become the face of the Israeli economy, among others in front of the third largest economy in the world, India, from which demand increased by 86.3%, or Ireland, from which demand increased by approximately 80.9%, Canada (72.3%), the Philippines (97.2%), Great Britain (57.5%) and the USA (12.4%), respectively.
Data from the Director of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economy show that the appreciation for Israeli products and capabilities is only increasing, and that exports in 2022 broke a record and stood at approximately 166 billion dollars. The record represents an increase of about 15% over the previous record that was broken in 2021, the year of the Corona virus, when it was about 144 billion dollars.
The bulk of the export in 2022 was of various services and accounted for about 52% of all exports, with 23.2% of that being programming services and 8.4% of which was research and development services.
That is, about a third of the export was the export of technological services, which is expected to show a slight retreat this year in light of the capital raising crisis in the Israeli high-tech industry, mainly as a result of investors' money being diverted to other channels due to the high interest rate.
Before the reform or the coup,
the rest of the export (48%), however, was of goods and products, and it is, as mentioned, expected to break another record this year, despite the high interest rate and the internal debates regarding the legal reform.
The latter, it seems, most exporters do not feel at all, and the exchange rates are their main concern in response to the high demand they receive.
'Walla Money' tested with four CEOs of exporting companies the way in which the world markets receive the ambassadors of the Israeli economy, and to what extent the Israeli flag, which flies proudly above the company's products, contributes to their sales?
