Does Stellantis intend to engage more in the popularization of electric vehicles in France? This Thursday, visiting the Rennes plant, Carlos Tavares, boss of the group, took the opportunity to set the record straight for the government.
The French executive may put pressure on the group to repatriate in France the production of the e208, the favorite model of the French (at 34,000 euros without the ecological bonus all the same), Carlos Tavares considers that Stellantis has already "done a large part" to participate in the reindustrialization of the country: "We announced that twelve electric vehicles would be manufactured on French sites. We have converted the engine site in Trémery, that of Metz for electric transmissions. We open a gigafactory in Douvrin. What more can you do? Asking me to put my business at risk? " wondered the leader.
