In the accounts of Alma, a bike delivery woman at 1,300 euros per month: "If I don't move, I'm dead"

In a context of general price increases, purchasing power is one of the main concerns of the French. Coming from all walks of life, some agreed to open their accounts (salaries, income, expenses) for a series of testimonies.

Alma Days* are like a long-distance race. They start early, in the family emergency in the morning and end late at night, once the bike is put away, legs tired from having swallowed miles of tracks and cobblestones. A Deliveroo delivery driver for 5 years, Alma pedals an average of 40 terminals per day in a city in the east of France. Going electric quickly became inevitable, "unparalleled comfort", in his words. With her four children at school, the 33-year-old Alsatian can take a look at her application, before getting on her bike. It is barely 11 o'clock and the round trips between the restaurants and the customer landing will last until early afternoon.
