Premier Elisabeth Borne will present the measures the government will take to support the housing sector on Monday afternoon. The executive has listened to the multiple alerts issued in recent months by professionals in the sector. If they were waiting for a strong measure, capable of quickly restarting new construction, which largely determines the health of the entire sector, they may be disappointed. The government believes that the crisis is essentially cyclical. And that measures must be taken "until rates rebalance", according to Matignon.
To achieve this, action is launched at all levels: access to property, the rental market, the revival of new buildings and social housing.
