The bitterness is still palpable at Fret SNCF, a fortnight after the announcement of the downward reformatting of the company to avoid the colossal fine of the European Union (5.4 billion euros). Friday morning, a hundred employees were gathered in front of the headquarters in Saint-Ouen while the leaders detailed the implementation of this rescue plan during a CSE (social and economic committee): the group will have to abandon to competition twenty-three markets including the famous train of primeurs Perpignan-Rungis. This will result in the loss of 459 jobs. And Fret SNCF will disappear at the end of 2023 in favor of a new company called for the moment New Fret.
