This is an inexorable trend. "Little by little, from year to year, there is a decrease in the number of cash withdrawals," says Basile Duval, spokesman for Panorabanques. And the results of the comparator's annual study on the banking habits of the French confirm this (Poll&Roll survey for Panorabanques, conducted from March 28 to April 4, 2023 with a sample of 1,000 representative French people). If, on average, the French make 1.5 withdrawals per month for a total of 48 euros, 38% make less than 1 withdrawal per month. And about 7% of consumers (up from 5% a year ago) never go to the ATM! Conversely, only 4% would make more than 5 withdrawals per month.
