Mom, confirm me: Bit app launches remote payment service - voila! money

2023-06-08T08:01:42.907Z

Highlights: The service will allow children to make purchases without the need for a credit card or cash, but with parental approval. The first to join the service is the rebar network. From now on, buyers will be able to choose who will pay for them by entering a phone number and confirming the transaction with a click. Or they can pay themselves directly in the bit app by scanning a QR code. The new payment option came following a demand by Bit users to expand the app's payment method at self-service kiosks.

Bit is announcing the launch of a new remote payment feature, which will allow children, teens or anyone who does not carry a wallet to pay in physical stores by entering a phone number and confirming a remote purchase directly from the app.

From now on, in all Rebar branches throughout the country, buyers will be able to choose who will pay for them by entering a phone number and confirming the transaction with a click, or alternatively pay themselves directly in the bit app by scanning a QR code.

The payment platform said that the new payment option came following a demand by Bit users to expand the app's payment method at self-service kiosks as well, in order to provide a solution for parents who want to allow their children to purchase things even without their physical presence and without a credit card.

Make children's credit cards redundant

Amit Dadosh, Bit App Manager: "The new payment option will eliminate the need to use a credit card or cash and will allow children to send payment requests to parents who will be able to pay from anywhere for products and services to their children safely. We will continue to simplify and innovate, and in the coming year we will launch a variety of additional services to streamline payments, both online and in the world of physical commerce."

Easily, conveniently and without limitations

Itamar Hefetz, manager of the Rebar chain: "The collaboration with Bit is an important layer in our digital activity, which enables both parent and child customers to enjoy the beverage experience without the need for cash, and without the need for credit cards.

Thanks to the option to pay remotely via the Bit app, the young audience that visits the Rebar branches will be able to enjoy the Rivari experience easily, without limitations and most importantly - without bothering the parents. We will continue to be attentive to customers and provide them with an experience of taste and pampering, along with health and quality in all 100+ of our branches across the country."
