Surfing and yoga have been on the rise for a few years now. And rightly so! These two practices are renowned for their multiple benefits on the body, on the mind ... and on the joy of living.
The air of nothing, these two sports have a lot in common: connection with nature, immersion in the present moment, precision of the gesture ... and user-friendliness.
Meetings and Conviviality
"The combined practice of surfing and yoga makes you feel good, have fun, grow and progress in every way possible," says Sandra, co-founder of Sandycamps, surf camps and yoga.
"In addition, these activities always allow you to meet interesting people in incredible places," she continues.
Indeed, these sports are most often practiced in groups, and bring together individuals with common values and interests. This sense of community is central to Sandycamps. "The team created these two camps with the intention of generating meetings and moments of conviviality and sharing between enthusiasts," says Sandra.
Peniche and Imsouane: ideal destinations
The company has chosen to set up its quarters in two sunny destinations: Portugal and Morocco. These countries are far from having been chosen at random...
"Peniche (Portugal) and Imsouane (Morocco) are ideal destinations for all levels of surfing, just 2-3 hours from the France," says Sandra. "The weather conditions are exceptional, and the local cultures are very rich."
Peniche is indeed one of the most popular destinations for surfers. On its "line up" (the area off where surfers await their wave) we find adventurers from all over the world.
Letting Go and Disconnecting
Ready to give it a try? Sandycamps welcomes travelers of all levels. Beginners will have as good a time as experienced surfers and yogis. "We choose our teachers very carefully, in order to meet everyone's needs," says Sandra.
Another advantage of Sandycamps (which will not leave anyone indifferent): the company offers "packages" that include several services. In Portugal, the camp offers accommodation packages + surf lessons (with yoga classes on request).
And in Morocco, guests have the option to book an all-inclusive trip. "The setting really allows disconnection," explains the co-founder, "because we take care of absolutely everything: classes, meals, activities... Our guests just have to let themselves be carried away."
My little finger (and TripAdvisor) also tells me that the quality of service is impeccable, and praised by the many travelers who have embarked on a Sandycamps adventure.
In conclusion, if you are eager for nature escapes and timeless experiences... ride the wave and discover Sandycamps!
